Lego Workshop (K Only): Learn basic building techniques and explore your creativity in the technology innovation lab with lego robotics kits. Martial Arts (K-6): Students will learn the fundamentals of martial arts with an emphasis on discipline, safety, and fun. Rhythm and Math (K Only): *NEW * Students learn how to understand and master musical rhythm in a group setting while playing on beautiful hand-percussion instruments like djembe, cajon, bongos, shakers, and darbuka. We use a visualization system called The Rhythm Compass™ (taught at UCLA and UCD) that makes understanding rhythmic relationships fun and easy. The mathematics of rhythm are counting and cardinality, operations, ratios, and algebraic thinking.
