With tons of exciting ventures. We hope to see you all there. Camp Chesed/Camp Dora Hauser is Los Angeles' oldest camp for Jewish children with special needs. Our camp is predicated on our campers having the time of their life and we provide 2-3 high school and/or college counselors per camper. Each year we take our campers, counselors and their whole families to Disneyland or another sleepover park and in our 12-year existence we never charge or ask that our campers pay for any of our events! http://www.campchesed.com/read less

The Miracle Project is always looking for volunteers – or, as we call them, “co-actors.” Co-actors are peer role models — participating alongside those with autism and other disabilities serving as a friend, classmate, and creative partner.
Co-actors with The Miracle Project will be trained in Elaine Hall’s “Inclusion from WithIn” methodology and might have the opportunity to perform with The Miracle Project in live productions or on film.
We welcome co-actors of all ages and all backgrounds and encourage siblings and similar-age relatives (such as cousins) of program participants to serve as co-actors in classes, as well.
To sign up to be a volunteer, please fill out a volunteer application.

Three wonderful weeks of fun and friendship. Shutaf fills the August gap for working parents who need appropriate and affordable answers for their children, with and without disabilities.
Children attending general education programs, either in inclusion programs or those without disabilities, finish school in late June, leaving them 8-10 weeks of vacation. For children enrolled in special education programs, school year programs generally finish in mid-July or early August. Shutaf camp is the answer! Camp offers 3-weeks for 110 participants, ages 6-25 via 3 tracks: Campers, ages 6-13, enjoy traditional camp activities; Teen Explorers, ages 14-25, focus on social skills, and preparation for adulthood, Junior counselors, ages 16-20, experience mentored and supportive employment opportunities, part of our year-round, vocational track. The camp day runs from 8:45am-2:00pm. See camp in action!
