SLICE Shabbat is ideal for 2nd-6th graders and is led by pre-teens/teens in our Student Leadership in Congregational Engagement program. The service is followed by ice cream cake, a sports activity with Israel Olympic baseball player Zach Penprase, and lunch with other players from Israel’s Olympic baseball team. The Valley Beth Shalom Kid’s Minyan is a spirited, kid-led Saturday morning service for elementary school age kids and their families. Each month, kids are assigned roles in the service including singing, reading Torah, and sharing a teaching (d’var Torah). Together with VBS rabbis, the kids lead the Shabbat morning service. Following the service, kids are welcome to play and everyone is invited to join the community Kiddush for lunch.Every third Saturday of the month.
