In celebration of Jewish Disabilities Awareness and Inclusion Month (JDAIM), choose from the sessions below to learn new skills and socialize with others: • Farming Arts at 2:00 PM: This hands-on experiential workshop introduces participants to gardening, farming, and composting — and how these activities relate to our earth. Students will work with soil and learn how farming elements enrich our environment. • Culinary Arts at 4:00 PM: Young adults with diverse abilities will get to use their chopping, grating, pouring, and mixing skills and explore culinary techniques focusing on a variety of vegetables. • Ceramic Arts at 4:00 PM: Explore art and design through clay in this exciting and interactive ceramics class. Restrooms and a water fountain are at the halfway point, but not at the trailhead. Directions: From 405 exit Sunset Blvd and go west 2.4 mi on Sunset Blvd. Turn right (North) at Mandeville Canyon Rd. Go 0.3 mi, then turn left at Westridge Rd. Follow Westridge to the end, approximately 2.1 miles. Meet at the trailhead at the end of Westridge. Free Street parking next to the trailhead. We recommend carpooling! What To Bring: Water (one-liter minimum), hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and your potluck picnic lunch. Hiking boots or trail running shoes are highly recommended.
